Before

Set the period and target.

While it runs

Open online pages or paper sponsor forms.
Send reading logs home.
Post weekly class progress.

After

Celebrate at assembly.
Collect pledges in a fixed window.
Bank the money and record it in the books.
Thank donors, sponsors and helpers, by name where they’re happy with that.
Tell supporters what you raised and what it will pay for.

Watch out for

Pressure on families who cannot give.

Online sponsorship pages take a fee (Givealittle 5% plus card fee; commercial school platforms more).
