Terms of sale
Who you are buying from
Demo Rugby Club is the seller. This is a retail sale by Demo Rugby Club to raise funds for the club — you are buying a meat pack, not a raffle ticket, and no chance or prize draw is being sold on this page. Demo Rugby Club takes your payment directly and is responsible for supplying your order.
What you are buying
Where a pack shows a minimum weight, you are guaranteed at least that weight of meat. Where a pack shows no weight, no minimum is promised and the weight will vary. Either way the exact cuts, contents and total weight vary from pack to pack.
Photos and descriptions are a guide to what is typically included, not an exact inventory of your pack.
Price
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST.
Pickup only
This is pickup only — there is no delivery and nothing is couriered or shipped. Pickup is Friday 11 December, 3pm-6pm, from the chiller truck at the clubrooms. You must collect your pack yourself, or arrange for someone else to collect it on your behalf, during that window.
Uncollected orders
Packs are frozen and perishable once they leave the cold chain. If a pack is not collected during the stated pickup window, Demo Rugby Club will hold it in the freezer and try to contact you using the phone number or email you provided. If we cannot reach you and the pack is not collected within a reasonable further period, it may be sold or donated rather than held indefinitely, because it cannot be kept frozen and unclaimed forever. This does not affect your right to a refund or remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act if the pack itself was faulty.
Consumer Guarantees Act
The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to this sale, and nothing in these terms limits or excludes it. If your pack does not meet the minimum weight promised, or the meat is not of acceptable quality, you have rights under that Act and you should contact us.
Change of mind and food safety
Because this is frozen food, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return once you have collected your pack — once it leaves our care we cannot be sure how it has been stored, and re-selling returned frozen meat is not safe. This is a food-safety limit, not an attempt to take away your rights: your Consumer Guarantees Act rights for faulty or misdescribed packs still apply in full.
Food handling
Demo Rugby Club handles and stores packs frozen, in line with the Food Act 2014, up until pickup. Once you collect your pack, keeping the cold chain intact — getting it home and back into a freezer or fridge promptly — is your responsibility.
Where the money goes
Proceeds from this fundraiser go to Demo Rugby Club for its stated club purposes.
