Host the event.
Collect donations online.

On the day

Count the float with two people before you open, and write the total down.

After

Thank guests.
Count the takings in pairs and bank them within a day or two.
Tell supporters what you raised and what it will pay for.

Watch out for

Cash collected and not banked through the page.

Money goes to the national charity via its page. At home or work no permits are needed; councils may need a permit for food sales in public places.
