Watch out for
- Assuming buckets are allowed: some parades will remove an entry that breaks the rules.
- Unsafe builds fail inspection on the day; build early and test.
- Spending more on decorations than the float can return.
The parade organiser holds the road closure and traffic plan; your vehicle needs registration, WOF and insurance. Bucket collections need the organiser's OK and possibly a council street-collection licence.
