Demo Rugby ClubFundraiser

How it works

How buying works, and where the money goes

A plain explanation of how to buy from Demo Rugby Club, what happens to your money. No fine print games.

How buying works

  1. Choose meat packs on the shop.
  2. Pay online by card, or pay cash to a seller you know — either way, your order is confirmed straight away.
  3. Collect your order at the clubrooms during the stated pickup window. There is no delivery or courier.

Where the money actually goes

Not every dollar you pay reaches Demo Rugby Club. The club buys the meat from a wholesaler, payment processing takes a small cut, and For Goods Sake, which runs the ordering and the wholesaler deal, takes a 5% service fee. What's left after those is what actually funds the goal. A club that explains this plainly is more trustworthy, not less — so here are the real numbers.

No sales yet, so here's a worked example using a real pack — the Everyday Box, priced at $149.00:

What a buyer pays$149.00
Less the wholesale cost of the meat−$102.91
Less the estimated payment processing fee−$4.25
Less the For Goods Sake service fee (5%)−$7.45
What that one pack contributes to the goal$34.39

Real per-order figures vary a little with fees; this uses the club's current fee settings.
