FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Pickup, payment, what's in a pack, and how the draw works — answered for Demo Rugby Club.

What's in a pack, and how much meat do I get?

Each pack listing shows a description of the typical cuts included. Where a pack states a minimum weight, you're guaranteed at least that much meat — where it doesn't, no minimum is promised. Either way, the exact cuts and total weight vary a little from pack to pack, because that's how meat works: photos and descriptions are a guide, not an exact inventory.

When and where do I collect my order?

Pickup is Friday 11 December, 3pm-6pm, from the chiller truck at the clubrooms, at the clubrooms. There is no delivery and nothing is couriered — you (or someone collecting on your behalf) need to be there in person.

What if I can't make the pickup window?

Get in touch with the club before the window closes if you can — someone else can usually collect on your behalf. Packs are frozen and perishable once they're out of the cold chain, so if a pack isn't collected the club will try to contact you using the details from your order, and hold it in the freezer for a reasonable time. If it still can't be collected, it may end up sold or donated rather than held indefinitely — see our terms of sale for the full policy.

Can I pay cash?

Yes — you can buy through a seller you know and pay them cash directly instead of paying online. Ask around the club for who's selling packs.

Is my card safe?

Yes. When you pay online you're taken to our payment provider's own secure page to enter your card — this site never sees or stores your card details, only a pass or fail result back.

Where does my money actually go?

Not every dollar reaches Demo Rugby Club. The club buys the meat wholesale, payment processing takes a small cut, and For Goods Sake takes a 5% service fee for running the ordering. What's left, usually $30–75 a box, funds the goal. See the full breakdown, with real numbers →

Who do I contact?

Get in touch with a Demo Rugby Club committee member directly — through the club's usual channels (clubrooms, Facebook page, or whoever you know who's running this fundraiser). This site is run by the club, not by a separate company, so the club is who to ask.
